Administrative Assistant (half-time) - Job Advertisement

 

Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Lebenswissenschaften Heidelberg GmbH (GFLW), is a non-profit enterprise, wholly owned by the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO), dedicated to the advancement of science through the support and training of life scientists.

GFLW runs approximately 30 residential and up to 20 remote training courses for life scientists each year in topics including: leadership, project management, negotiation and creative problem solving (EMBO Lab Leadership Courses). GFLW works with a team of freelance trainers to deliver training in Leimen, Germany, and worldwide.

GFLW is looking for a half-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and organizational support to the Project Coordinator and Managing Directors. The Administrative Assistant will report to the Project Coordinator.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Customer Care

Incoming & Outgoing Invoices

Record Keeping & General Administration

Communication

 

Qualifications & Experience

The Administrative Assistant should have:

Customer Service/Communication

Administration/Finance

 

Working hours

The position is for 19.5 hours per week, with the possibility of extending the hours depending on the workload and in consultation with the Project Coordinator and Managing Directors.

This position will occasionally require duty travel and working outside of the normal working hours, in the evenings or during the weekend.
